More and more people are choosing to buy their bedroom furniture themselves and bring in an independent fitter to install it — rather than paying a showroom to supply and fit the lot. Done right, it is often the smartest way to get exactly the bedroom you want without the showroom premium. What supply-only fitting actually means
Supply-only — sometimes called labour-only — fitting is simple: you buy the wardrobes, doors and internal fittings from whichever retailer you like, and I install everything for you. You only pay me for the labour; the furniture is your purchase, direct from the supplier.
It is exactly the same finished result as a showroom supply-and-fit package — the furniture is identical — but you separate the two costs and avoid the retailer’s mark-up on the installation.

Here is how it often plays out. Someone visits a showroom, loves the furniture, but baulks at the supplied-and-fitted price. They come to me, I take a look at the room, and we work out the fitting cost separately. They then order the same furniture themselves — sometimes catching a sale — and I fit it. What if something is missing or damaged on delivery?
Because you are the customer of the retailer, you deal with them directly for any replacements — which is usually quick. I always suggest checking the full delivery before we book the fit, so we are not held up by a missing panel.
Will I get a guarantee on the furniture?
Yes — the furniture carries the manufacturer’s own guarantee, exactly as it would with a supplied-and-fitted order. My side is the quality of the fitting itself.
